    • The Duporth 'ladies' school moved from Brisbane to Oxley in 1888, taking an attractive rural site that would be used as an Ursuline convent between 1924 and 1957 and the Canossa Hospital (1965). The school was established in 1877 on Wickham Terrace by Mrs M O'Connor & her daughters.
