Death of Mr. G. McCann
Mr. George McCann. sen., of Cowlishaw-street, Bowen Hills, who was apparently in the best of health, collapsed and died at his home on Saturday night, aged 74 years.
He was born at Daylesford (Vic), and had spent the greater portion of his life on the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Since his arrival In Brisbane 20 years ago he had lived in retirement.
Mr. McCann is survived by his widow and three sons, Messrs. G. D., W. K., and J. H. McCann, and four daughters, Mesdames V. A. Blanshard and J. Johnston, and Misses Olive and Pat McCann.
As a mark, of sympathy the following firms will be closed to-day: Pauls, Adelaide-street: Davids, 110 Queen street; Revue, Queen-street; the Model Manufacturers of Queensland, Burnett-lane, city; and Pauls, Ruthven street, Toowoomba.
